While we were viewing the cats we saw Siegfried talking and taking photos with guest. During our visit we were able to enjoy some up close encounters with the dolphins, tigers, and a lion- all of which were pretty amazing. Die setzt den guten Gesamteindruck fort.

Due to drone activity at Gatwick the lead up to holiday was uncertain and staff really didnt appreciate our travelling time to the airport,so couldnt just follow updates. Internal transfers and trips werent managed very well ,we had to keep ringing to make sure all were still on time and pick up location. We've used secret escapes for a few last minute hotel stays which were generally good value, much better than booking. We went to one for £99 bed, breakfast, dinner and high tea at 4-star hotel which was great value and another for £65 with breakfast again 4 star. I would use again and recommend but some of the offers for abroad stays are not so clear and could be simplified. Booked a 5 star hotel with butler service 6 months prior to departure on the Secret Escapes website. I paid extra for an upgrade to an ocean view suite as this was a very special vacation. My partner and I had already booked the hotel at the airport, time of work, social engagements etc etc. They found me a 4 star which upon arrival I found out was 3 star hotel and I had to argue for several weeks to get some funds back from them for the downgrade. The hotel was a 3 star and had sewage problems which meant the rooms smelt disgusting. I spent my vacation wishing I was home until I finally left the island and booked into another hotel. Our hotel room unfortunately overlooked the main A44, and secret bewertung secondary glazing it was very noisy. I appreciate that the building has history, but it was a bit shabby. No obvious place to register and no staff in evidence on arrival. Advice about the car parking should have been given prior to our visit. The desk for the restaurant staff was at the foot of the stairs, which posed something of a problem and the corner table at which we were seated meant that one person had to get up to allow the other person out. All fairly minor niggles, I agree, but enough to mean that we would not return. On a positive note, the food - particularly breakfast was good. Maybe if we had been in a room in the annex our report would have been more positive.
